While a Splash or two won’t hurt your jewelry, follow these tips for best results 

  • Remove all jewelry before taking a shower, going to bed, swimming or working out
  • Apply all lotion, hairspray, perfume, etc. prior to putting on your jewelry
  • Jewelry should be the last item you put on before heading out and the first you remove upon return

 Materials Defined

  • Gold Plated - 14 or 18 karat gold plating over jeweler's brass, stainless steel or sterling silver.  we work with a minimum of .5 microns
  • PVD - (Physical Vapor Deposition) a vacuum coating process used over stainless steel to provide a long-lasting finish.
  • Brazilian Gold Filled a layer of 18 karat gold bonded onto jeweler's brass, a minimum of 3% of the total weight of the item is gold.
  • US Gold Filled - a solid layer of 14 karat gold bonded onto jeweler's brass, a minimum of 5% of the total weight of the item is gold.  manufactured in the USA and regulated by the FTC.
  • Sterling Silver - .925 silver with a rhodium plating for shine and protection
  • Gold Vermeil - 14 or 18 karat gold plating over sterling silver, minimum of 2.5 microns
  • 14kt or 18kt  - 14 or 18 karat solid gold
  • CZ - cubic zirconia, a synthetic diamond or colored stone
  • Freshwater Pearl - A freshwater, cultured pearl is formed in lakes or ponds vs the saltwater of the ocean. 
  • Diamond - a natural, precious stone
